Wet Chemistry Lab Technician

Seeking an Entry Level Lab Technician to run samples on our LECO instrument.

Willing to train!!

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for all combustion nitrogen analysis. Other duties include Soluble Protein, and chlorides.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS | TASKS
Conduct analysis for nitrogen, soluble protein, and chloride.
Troubleshoot and maintain combustion analyzer instruments and chloride meter

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Remain stationary for reasonable periods of time typing and/or reading at a computer
  
• Be able to lift, carry, or pull objects up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  
• Communicate with employees, customers and/or vendors by telephone and in person
  
• Process data entry on a computer
  
• Be able to climb, stoop, kneel, stretch, crouch or crawl due to maintenance of instruments, machines, and storage of materials
  
• Be knowledgeable of office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping
  
• Have a working knowledge of basic accounting principles, methodologies, calibrations, chemistry analysis, and instrumentation
  
• Have excellent time management skills
  
• Must be proficient in Microsoft office products
  
• Produce accurate and high-quality materials and data entry
  
• Have strong multi-tasking abilities
  

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE  
High School Diploma or GED requied

EQUIPMENT  
Analytical Instrumentation: LECO 528 or 628 combustion analyzer
Chloride meter
Personal Computer

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

• Work is performed largely in a laboratory environment with moderate noise level
  
• There may be occasions when the work environment is stressful
  
• Work schedule will normally be from Monday through Friday with occasional weekend hours depending upon need
  
• Must wear personal protective equipment
