Director of Finance

Description:
The Howard-Suamico School District seeks an experienced, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual to serve as the Director of Finance. This position serves in the Operations Department and will wield district-wide influence. The Director of Finance will report to the Assistant Superintendent of Operations. The Director of Finance will oversee all finance functions and nurture diverse stakeholder relationships. The successful candidate will analyze, refine, and develop systems while exerting leadership with both a team of direct reports and across the entire HSSD administrative team. The mission of the Operations Department is to creatively ensure the financial health of the District while both providing a positive proactive customer experience and applying user friendly systems. This is an administrative, 12-month position with an expected start date of March 5, 2018. The start date may be negotiated. The successful candidate will be offered a salary range of $80,000 - $99,000 depending on experience and qualifications, as well as a comprehensive benefits plan based on a total compensation philosophy.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, education or related field required. Master's degree in accounting, education leadership, business administration, finance, or related field preferred. Successful candidate must have either the 5008 - School Business Administrator license and/or be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or be enrolled in a licensure/certification program or process for either qualification before September 15, 2018.
