Primary Purpose:
We are currently looking to hire a new class of summer interns for the Farmington Hills Headquarters’ IT Department. The internship program will give the candidates opportunities for professional development by working on actual company projects within the assigned team. The IT department is looking interns with interest in the following areas:
Web / Mobile / Java Developers
Data Insights & Analytics / Machine Learning
Workflow / Process / Test Automation
IT Security Specialist
Test Automation
IT Infrastructure
Office of the CIO
Support key initiatives within IT, bringing a new perspective and additional value to each area of responsibility.
- Each intern will have goals specific to their domain, co-created by the intern and their 92 lead. There will be 2 interns per senior manager and 2 in the office of the CIO. The goals will align with the ITF/A key priorities supporting our future business.
- The intern will learn about our company, IT operations and specific aspect(s) of the domain they are in.
List of Activities:
1st Day – Initial Team Introduction1st Week – Team and Department Orientation
1st Month – Company Orientation, Goals Defined
Weekly – IT Intern coordination and review meetings at a department level
(Weeks 1 & 3 – Intern and Lead; Weeks 2 & 4 Interns)
Monthly – IT specific department wide events, as well as specific HR events
Final Week – Final Presentations by the Intern, including several draft reviews of the presentation.
Qualifications
Please note this is a seasonal internship that will work up to 90 calendar days in our Farmington Hills, MI office. Internship will be starting in May 2018 until August 2018, start date and end date are flexible based on candidates availability.
