Position Highlights:

The National Center for Healthcare Leadership, or NCHL (www.nchl.org), is a not-for-profit organization currently located on the Rush University Medical Center campus. The program analyst manages activities of the US Cooperative for International Patient Programs, or USCIPP (www.uscipp.net), an organizational membership program of nearly 70 American academic medical centers, hospitals, and health systems that work together to advance international access to US-based healthcare. The program analyst is responsible for day-to-day coordination of USCIPP operations, logistical oversight of annual meetings and other learning events (e.g., webinars), updating USCIPP's digital presence, and support of member relations. The program analyst collaborates across the organizational structure and key stakeholder groups and partner organizations, including the US Department of Commerce, domestic and foreign organizations/agencies, and current and prospective USCIPP sponsor organizations. The program analyst coordinates and manages USCIPP's and its partners' representation at conferences, exhibitions, public events, and meetings with outside organizations both domestically and internationally. The position requires strong project management skills and interest in international healthcare/business.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve in key role to manage USCIPP Advisory Council and subcommittee conference call meeting agendas and materials working in concert with USCIPP's senior manager
  • Oversee USCIPP annual meeting, webinars/learning activities, and other events as needed (e.g., coordinating hotel contracts/agreements, food and beverage orders, AV requirements, online registration, speaker agreements, and meeting materials)
  • Coordinate international marketing and outreach efforts to promote US healthcare via the ChooseUSHealth digital media presence, including updating websites, social media accounts, marketing and communications pieces, and international trade show promotional materials  
  • Directly support business development events for USCIPP members in collaboration with strategic partners both domestically and internationally  
  • Execute other duties as needed, including working collaboratively with NCHL team members to implement activities and programs and support internal operations during peak periods during the year 

Position Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; minimum one to three years of experience required  
  • Experience coordinating large conferences and/or meetings  
  • Desirable experience includes: successfully managing and communicating with diverse members and stakeholders; executing on marketing and social media campaigns; and effectively building and facilitating client relationships, delivering excellent customer service, and exceeding member expectations  
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry, international trade, or public policy desired
  • Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel  
  • Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese desirable  
  • High energy, flexible, diplomatic, and able to multitask and handle fast-paced environment  
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage diverse projects simultaneously  
  • Excellent attention to detail  
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally 20-25% of the time
