Turret Phone Based Project - Contract

Contractor Description

·     Noble Markets is seeking a hard-working, savvy contractor who possesses a good mix of hardware, interface, and software development skills.

Company Overview

·       Noble is a transactional bank that aims to disrupt the traditional banking model by enabling institutional clients to clear, net and settle OTC and FX transactions in real–time. We have accomplished this by collapsing the horizontal functions of a custodial bank, clearing house, and an exchange into a vertically-integrated platform for OTC assets.

·       At Noble, we focus on three main principles:

·       Simplify: Streamline the decades-old ways of how counterparties transact in OTC markets.

·       Connect: Increase P2P connectivity, filling the void left by banks exiting the markets due to the legacy setup and cost structure.

·       Reduce: Significantly lower risk and cost by enabling real-time clearing & settlement at the edge.

Project Specifications

This project involves building out a turret phone that will be connected to a Twilio engine on the back-end. You will take the existing work that has been started/documented by another contractor and finish it out for us. Here is a list of some but not all of the requirements:

1) Main call system built around Twillio with IVR and individual conference rooms for each call.

2) Individual conference rooms allows shared lines, multiple phones to pickup a call, and shared conference bridges.

3) The handsets will be: Raspberry Piwith two (or more) handsets and Bluetooth. Probably with individual sip clients into Twillio using pjsip/pjsua web (multi-device/remote work)

We will share additional details about the project in the latter stages of the interview process.

Additional Considerations

Here are some additional considerations to keep in mind when applying for this position:

1) You will be asked to document the specs of the handset/touchscreen you used so that we can reproduce everything from our end of things for testing purposes.

2) The code you produce will belong solely to Noble.

3) You will be asked to use a commonly accepted language (Python, Javascript, Java, etc.) and toolkit when building out this project.

4) If we find your work satisfactory, there is a strong possibility that we will ask you to help us with successive phases of our project.

Desired Responsibilities & Qualifications

·       Must be a self-starter.

·       Must be able to work independently.

·       Must be detailed-oriented.

·       Must be able to work within a proper SDLC/release process.
