Editorial assistant

U Direct seeks research and video editorial assistance in the production of eight short films for the ongoing Ken Burns American Journey's series. U Direct has produced over 165 short films for KBAJ to date, including short documentaries on the National Parks, Civil War, Mississippi River, New England, Kentucky, Country Music, and Vietnam amongst others. This series will focus on the history of the Rocky Mountains. The editorial and production assistant will research content from the National Archives, will help sort original content captured after principal photography in early Feb 2018, and may have an opportunity to edit based on talent and performance. Applicants must have knowledge of Adobe Premiere, word and excel programs. Candidate should be meticulously organized, and exhibit a dedicated passion for filmmaking. U Direct promotes a creative environment where self motivation is key to success. Temporary positions have led to permanent staff positions. A 4 year undergraduate degree is required for this position.
