Business Intelligence Developer/Data Analyst

The Business Intelligence Developer/Data Analyst builds reports and provides first level support to business intelligence internal consumers. The BI Developer/Data Analyst works with report requirements created by Developer II’s, data analysts or business analysts and creates basic reports from those requirements. This position grants access to reporting assets by granting permissions to reports and dashboards. The BI Developer/Data Analyst may coordinate base-level reports with end users directly as well as provide report validation for other developers or analysts. This is an entry-level position in the BI discipline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Designs and builds reports using various reporting platforms including SSRS, Excel and Microstrategy.
- Reviews and debugs existing reports
- Schedules automated reports
- Sets report security
- Works directly with end users to define requirements for base reports and report changes.
- May assist in report validation.
- Design and build database queries utilizing various query tools.
- Deploy analysis, reporting, and query solutions to end users.

Education and Experience

* Associate OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Database Management, or related field.
* Highly proficient computer Skills
* Experience with Microsoft SQL report development including any of the following:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or newer
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
 -Microsoft Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)
 - Microsoft Excel
 - MicroStrategy

Other Skills and Abilities:

- Strong attention to detail

- Quick learner with strong technical aptitude. Ability to work independently or as a team member

- Self-driven, enthusiastic and flexible work style

This position may require some domestic travel to Ariens Company locations. All individuals in this role must have or be able to obtain documents needed for foreign travel.
