Exotic Animal Care Intern

Black Pine Animal Sanctuary's Exotic Animal Care Internship program is an immersive, unparalleled learning opportunity that enables college students and graduates to gain broad animal husbandry experience caring for, and educating people about, more than 55 species of animals including wildcats, bears, wild canines, reptiles, primates, birds, and various other mammals. Candidates selected to participate will learn animal husbandry skills and techniques, safe animal enrichment activities, and will collaborate with the veterinary team to provide treatment for illnesses and/or injuries. Participants will also be exposed to our educational efforts as they relate to our mission. Additional opportunities may include public speaking, retail cashier duties, housekeeping, and other related sanctuary functions.
