Residential Property Administrator

We are a Residential Real Estate Company seeking Residential Property Administrator across a portfolio in Brooklyn, Manhattan and New Jersey. The ideal candidate should be able to manage high-volume, as well as be creative, a self-starter, problem-solver and possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Supporting a portfolio of 14 fair-market and rent-stabilized buildings – 1,000+ units and approx. 100 + garden style homes in NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, be well organized and work independently on assignments. A successful candidate must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to a high volume of tenant-related matters.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing and approving 3rd party vendor invoices timely
  • Monitoring resident communications and promptly resolving questions and complaints from residents
  • Processing tenant move outs and bill back processes
  • Send resident communications, including building wide blast updates, access letters, warning letters, etc.
  • Provide communication and memos for property level staff
  • Organizing and scheduling appointments with tenants, vendors and maintenance staff
  • Reviewing, leveling and presenting proposals to senior management
  • Assisting in the preparation and completion of various assignments and or reports for upper management
  • Provide support to Property Manager

Required Knowledge, skills, and capabilities:

  • Demonstrates the strong organizational skills necessary to oversee several different properties
  • Possesses basic knowledge of housing regulations
  • Demonstrates familiarity with various NYC agencies, primarily HPD, and the process of rent stabilization.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Exhibits solid communication skills, with an ability to resolve complaints calmly & efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience: 2+ years of property management experience within market-rate and rent-stabilized buildings.
  • Software Competency: Familiar with Yardi, SharePoint, Microsoft packages, Adobe
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
  • Willingness to learn new software and programs
