Residential Construction Superintendent

Construction Superintendent

 This position is responsible for monitoring and supervising the complete construction projects from start to finish. Depending on the size of the projects, the Superintendent will be supporting the Director of Operations running multiple projects at any given time. This position is responsible for each project from the layout through the finished punch list. The Superintendent will be positioned on site and in the office, depending on the task at hand. Throughout the construction process, will be expected to perform the following duties.

 Job Related & Knowledge:

·       Understands the project plans and specifications.

·       Coordinates and supervises all construction activities

·       Creates and maintains construction schedules; identifies and solves problems related to maintaining construction schedules

·       Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with            quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications

·       Tracks and receives material deliveries; resolving delivery discrepancies

·       Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process

·       Promotes job site safety encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations

·       Maintains an organized and clean job site

·       Manage sub-contractor relationships; including monitoring and controlling performance

·       Prepares schedules and supervises the completion of a final punch list.

 Leadership:

·       Manage and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, trades, peers and homeowners; and other related duties

·       Responsible for responding to emails and other forms of correspondence with the homeowner or other in a timely manner

·       Openly discuss all problems and issues as it relates to the home(s) for which you are responsible for

·       Being a team member working together to build quality homes. Communicating with each other and talk openly about our challenges, issues, and solutions

·       Customer satisfaction

·       Reacts to unusual or problem situations in a positive and efficient manner

·       Maintains focus with managing and completing details

·       Excellent follow-through abilities

 

Requirements:

A Bachelor degree is strongly preferred

3-10 years professional relevant work experience

A Building license is strongly preferred

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to work in a mobile environment

Any experience with Co-Construct or building software is strongly preferred

 

 

Travel & Hours:

This is an exempt position that may require some Saturday work hours and overtime during the workweek.

25-50% local travel with this position
