We have a unique opportunity for a recent or upcoming graduate with an interest in Property Management, Real Estate, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field to join our Mainfreight Development Program and begin a long-term career in property.

Unlike a traditional graduate property role, this position starts by developing a deep understanding of our operations. You'll spend time working alongside our teams in the warehouse, on the dock, and within branch operations, learning how our business functions and how our facilities support the people who use them every day.

As your understanding of the business grows, you'll become increasingly involved in property-related projects across our North American network, helping support the buildings, developments, and facilities that shape the future of Mainfreight.

What You'll Be Doing

During your first years with Mainfreight, you can expect to:

• Learn the operational side of our business through hands-on experience in branch environments
• Develop relationships with frontline teams, Branch Managers, and business leaders
• Gain an understanding of how our facilities support our operations and customers
• Assist with property improvement, development, maintenance, and relocation projects
• Support communication with contractors, architects, landlords, consultants, and property partners
• Assist with lease administration and property documentation
• Contribute to sustainability and environmental initiatives within our facilities
• Participate in branch fit-outs, renovations, and future property developments
• Support the ongoing management of our growing North American property portfolio

As your experience develops, your involvement in property-focused responsibilities will continue to expand.

About You

You are someone who:

• Has recently completed (or will soon complete) a degree in Property Management, Real Estate, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, Business, or a related field
• Is excited by the idea of learning a business from the ground up
• Isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved in operational environments
• Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Enjoys building relationships with a wide variety of people
• Can manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Is curious, adaptable, and eager to learn
• Is interested in a long-term career within Mainfreight

Most importantly, you understand that to manage great facilities, you first need to understand the people and operations those facilities support.
