Undergrad Internship - HR Hiring Center

Position Summary:
CVS Health offers a comprehensive internship program designed to engage students, impart valuable skills, and offer insight into a potential career path with a Fortune 12 company. During the 10 week engagement interns will be in a supportive learning environment contributing both independently and on a team against key department initiatives. Our intern will be a part of the Store Hiring Center team and supporting retail store managers on the administrative recruiting function for CVS store level positions. You will assist in all facets of the hiring process from opening the position request forms, verbally extending offers, selecting background/drug packages, sending the on-boarding paperwork, coordinating new hire orientation classes, and hiring of the candidates. You will be successful in this role by demonstrating your ability to maintain confidentiality in the work place, to problem solve and apply critical thinking skills, and to think analytically and creatively under pressure.


Additional responsibilities include:
  • Using the Applicant Tracking system as well as other HR systems and predefined business processes to hire candidates in accordance with the company hiring practices.
  • Working with and support Store Hiring Center Supervisor in identifying and making suggestions to improve the efficiency and quality of service delivery.
  • Reviewing and assessing adherence to all hiring guidelines.
  • Conducting and preparing root cause analysis and identify solutions to improve service.
  • Responding in a timely and efficient manner to our hiring managers inquiries concerning recruiting, staffing, and on-boarding.
  • Applying strong organizational and data entry skills with a strict attention-to-detail.
  • Working independently and as part of a team environment.


Required Qualifications:
  • Availability to work full time for duration of the 10 week program
  • A strong commitment to Customer Service as exemplified by behaviors and disposition.
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills to reflect a friendly, positive disposition.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferably experience with HR policies, Recruiting Applicant Tracking Systems and/or Recruiting Operations.

- Proficiency with MS Office Products.


Education:
  • Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a 4 year college or university and entering their senior year in fall of 2018
