Position Overview:

As a UX intern, you have strong interest in gaining experience in Interaction Design, UI Design, UX Research or User Centered Design practices. You have an understanding of the User Centered Design process and research methods, and are proficient in the creation of wireframes, prototypes or high-fidelity mockups. If you have strong empathy for users, seek to understand how to improve their experiences, and want to gain experience in a fun and exciting environment, we’d like to talk to you.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct usability research
• Design solutions that improve the customer experience
• Deliver professional-quality visual assets for in-product use
• Assist in the design of UI flow and function for established products
• Proactively solicits feedback from stakeholders and the UX team to improve work deliverables
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Background:

• Requires at least 15 hours per week, maximum of 28 hours per week
• A proven passion for designing software with excellence and innovation
• Self-motivated and able to collaborate with a diverse set of people from many disciplines
• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• You must be enrolled full-time in classes in order to be considered for an internship with TechSmith Corporation

Preferred Skills and Background: 

• Experience in Interaction Design, UI Design and/or UX Research
• Understanding of the User Centered Design process
• Proficiency in the creation of wireframes, prototypes and/or high-fidelity mockups
• Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar visual design software
• Familiarity with Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar layout or prototyping software
• Fluency in a foreign language is a plus

Compensation and Perks:

Competitive pay based on skills and experience. This is an hourly position with TechSmith Corporation. Hours are based on a consensus between you and your supervisor. We require a minimum of 15 hours per week, however hours are limited to 28 hours per week.
