INTRODUCTION

Axalta Coating Systems’ Leadership recognizes the business value of introducing young, new talent into the organization through our internship program. The Axalta Internship Program provides a meaningful professional experience to college students and is supported by a hands-on supervisor and a peer mentor to help with the daily maneuvering. To enhance the real-world experience, the Interns are provided with a unique project designed by the functional leadership that possesses true business value. At the conclusion of the internship, the interns are then provided an opportunity to establish their own brand through a formal business presentation of their key project to senior leaders sharing the outcomes of their work and the value their work will provide to Axalta. Additionally, the interns are provided direct exposure to Axalta’s senior level executives through our ExecuCom lecture series which includes a live question and answer session with the leader. The interns will also be provided the opportunity to meet, network and spend time with the rest of the Axalta summer interns during the 4-day Summit held at our Global Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. These are all keys to insuring a robust, meaningful and value adding real-world experience to these students.

 

The Internships will last a minimum of 10 weeks. Preferred starting dates are at the end of May with the target completion timeframe in mid-August.

 

THE INTERNSHIP

During your Axalta Internship, you will:

·         Have the opportunity to work on real and meaningful projects

·         Work with internal and external resources to do market research, product analysis and general strategy work

·         Support strategic global marketing initiatives with a focus on long term growth while maintaining short term profits and sales objectives

·         Assist in expanding on external growth strategies for the business

·         Support implementation of processes and systems to identify and monitor primary market drivers

·         Provide regional market intelligence and input to the global marketing organization

·         Prepare and present a report summarizing your project work.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Working towards a Master’s degree in Business or Marketing with an undergraduate degree in engineering

·         A minimum GPA of 3.5

·         The demonstrated ability to learn on the job

·         Be an effective problem solver with strong analytical skills

·         Results oriented and a self-starter

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·         Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

·         Ability to work in a team environment

 

 

BENEFITS

Salary: Commensurate with experience and education

Travel Reimbursement:  Axalta will pay you a pre-determined lump sum to cover your round trip between your school and the Axalta location to which you are assigned.

Housing: Axalta will provide interns in need of housing a lump sum of money to assist in covering living expenses

 

Candidates seeking US-based internships need to have the ability to work legally in the United State (e.g. US Citizen, US permanent resident of qualifying refugee or individuals granted asylum). Applicants who do not indicate having the necessary work authorization will not be considered for US-based internships.
