Position Summary:
The Department of Surgery is seeking an academic Transplant Surgeon to support the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program. Competency in laparoscopic donor nephrectomy and hepatobiliary surgery is preferred in this position. This is a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The candidate must be committed to an academic career and must have successfully completed a fellowship in kidney and pancreas transplantation. The candidate’s primary location will be the Erie County Medical Center. Erie County Medical Center is the teaching hospital of the University Of Buffalo Jacobs School Of Medicine. Applicants must possess documented teaching and research experience in an area relevant to Transplantation. In addition to demonstrated clinical competence and experience, the candidate must have a strong interest in teaching general surgery residents and medical students, as well as engaging in clinical, basic science or medical education research.
