Security Programs Intern, Online Safety

Facebook Online Safety team within Security is seeking an intern help increase safety for people who use Facebook. The ideal candidate would be passionate about protecting the most vulnerable populations who use our platform, and committed to making the world a safer place where people can be more open and connected. This position is located in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Support Program and Partnerships to develop educational resources for vulnerable populations on Facebook
  • Support Program and Partnerships by coordinating translation of current resources into market specific languages
  • Work with relevant partners to localize and launch market-specific content
  • Support Online Safety partners to develop and optimize ad campaigns
  • train individuals on the basics of Facebook advertising tools
  • Gather, synthesize, and analyze relevant data to summarize the results of various campaigns

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS/BA in relevant fields such as marketing, or advertising
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Experience managing marketing campaigns
  • Significant curiosity for understanding the safety risks teens face online, and willingness to understand new cultures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Facebook advertising tools
  • Speaks Spanish or Portuguese
  • Experience working with non-profits
