Entry Level Supply Chain Business Consultant

Ultra Consultants seeks recent or upcoming 2017 college graduates to fill the role of Entry Level Supply Chain Business Consultant. The candidate must be a recent or upcoming college graduate majoring in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Information Technology, and must have a broad knowledge of Supply Chain concepts. Applicants with a working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems would be desirable.

 Ultra works exclusively with manufacturing and distribution companies to help them to realize substantial progress in the areas of business processes improvement, technology capabilities, and overall organizational alignment.  Our current Business Consultants find their workplace environment split between on-site at a variety of client locations or working remote using video conferencing/collaboration tools. Primary Responsibilities

  • Learn Ultra’s Methodology to improve the flow of data and materials through the client’s organization
  • Work side-by-side with Project Executives in managing client engagement(s) and establishing a relationship as a “trusted advisor”
  • Engage the client in constructive and value-added discussions that drive the project forward and add value to the client’s business
  • Engage in ongoing learning, keeping up with state-of-the-art e-commerce and supply chain methods, technologies, trends, and best practices
  • Help facilitate workshops and Change Management initiatives utilizing Ultra’s Proven Methodology
  • Help develop ideas and roadmaps to support the future state vision for the client
  • Facilitate vendor activities, discussions, demos, and drive priorities/schedules to keep the project on track
  • Create documented deliverables in text, spreadsheets, graphs, process flow charts, project management, video, and other various presentation formats
  • Assist in the selection of Supply Chain/WMS/e-Commerce technologies to match the client’s vision of the future
  • Assist in the development of the Business Case for Change and ROI assessment related to your area
  • Assist in the completion of project management activities of the Solution Implementation phase
  • Manage personal travel logistics (transportation, accommodations, etc.) and pre-work activities to be prompt and prepared for work

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, and/or Information Technology-related disciplines (MBA or other relevant Master’s degree is desirable)
  • Intern experience working with Supply Chain, ERP, WMS or other business productivity technologies and tools
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including Microsoft Visio, Project, and SharePoint
  • Willingness to frequently travel to both domestic and possibly international locations as necessary
  • Commitment to work within and outside normal working hours
